I completely missed Anthropic introducing Claude Skills in October 2025. Skills is a folder of files containing instructions, scripts, and resources that Claude can load when needed to perform tasks in a repeatable way. For example, instructions on how to create graphics for your eLearning storyboards or how to extract data from a report and add it to a reporting dashboard. I’ve been moving away from big tech productivity apps lately. If you’re doing the same and looking for an alternative productivity suite, I highly recommend ONLYOFFICE (I’m not shouting that’s the way the app is spelled). It’s a free, open source application available on Windows, Mac, and Linux, Android, and iOS. All the standard file types are supported and it can be integrated with other apps as well.
